Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has firmly dismissed calls for his expulsion from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), asserting that no individual possesses the authority or standing to remove him from the party he has significantly contributed to.

During a media briefing in Abuja on Monday, June 2, 2025, Wike emphasized his unwavering commitment to the PDP, stating:

“I am still in PDP. I worked hard for the party. I have not seen anybody who will have the guts to tell me, ‘Wike, you are not a member of the party.’ Who is that? What is his contribution to the party that is more than me?”

Wike’s remarks come amid internal tensions within the PDP, with some members questioning his loyalty due to his role in the current administration. Despite the controversies, Wike maintains that his allegiance to the PDP remains steadfast, and he challenges any party member to match his contributions.

This development highlights the ongoing dynamics within the PDP as it navigates internal disagreements and prepares for future political engagements.
