Dele Momodu, prominent journalist and top PDP figure, has thrown his full support behind the recent decision by Nigeria’s major opposition forces to adopt the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as their new political vehicle. According to him, this shift marks a turning point that should not be underestimated.
Taking to social media, Momodu celebrated the coalition’s courage, stating that their choice of ADC proves critics wrong and shows they mean business. “Let APC too feel some heat,” he said. “No one should ever play God over fellow human beings. Live and let live should be our guiding principle.” His words sent a clear message: the era of political dominance by one party could be nearing its end.
Momodu likened the development to the rise of the APC itself, which was also a product of smaller parties joining forces. “This is how the ruling party came into being,” he reminded Nigerians. “What happens next is in God’s hands.”
The formation of the coalition, backed by influential figures like David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola, has been gaining momentum. Political analysts believe this strategic move could reshape the 2027 general elections and offer Nigerians a stronger alternative to the current administration.
With parties now uniting under one banner, many believe the stage is set for a fierce political contest—and for the first time in a while, the APC may not have such an easy ride.
