Businessman Isaac Fayose has announced that a 15-year-old girl, whom controversial singer Speed Darlington allegedly claimed to have had sexual relations with, is set to visit a police station with her mother to provide a formal statement. This development follows a live broadcast by Speed Darlington, where he reportedly described a sexual encounter with a minor, detailing that the incident resulted in bloodstained sheets, which he paid hotel staff to clean.
Fayose condemned the alleged confession, emphasizing the gravity of the situation, especially as it coincided with Nigeria’s Children’s Day. He stated, “Unfortunately for Akpi [Speed Darlington], he thought it was a joke. But as God would have it, we now have the victim coming forward. She is going to the police station with her mother to write a statement.”
As of now, there has been no official statement from the Nigerian Police Force regarding the case. However, the incident has sparked widespread outrage and calls for a thorough investigation.
